1. What is a “Back Bet” on Betmatch?
A back bet is a wager for an outcome, e.g., betting on Team A to win. On Betmatch, this is done by betting against other users, not the house
2. How Do I Place a Back Bet?
- Find your event/market using the menu or search bar.
- Click the blue “back” odds next to the outcome you want to lay

- Enter your stake in the bet slip. You’ll automatically see potential profit
- Place your bet by clicking the blue button that shows “Place Bets”. It will match immediately if there’s liquidity at those odds; otherwise, it may sit unmatched until matched or the market opens

3. What Is “Liquidity” and Why Does It Matter?
“Liquidity” refers to the amount of money currently awaiting matches at specific odds.
- Shown under each odd in the back (blue) and lay (pink) columns
- You can only match up to that amount
- If you bet more than liquidity allows, only the available portion gets matched; the rest remains pending and may or may not be matched depending on market liquidity/movement.
4. Can I Request Better Odds?
Yes! You can post your own offer:
- Click the blue box, then manually adjust the odds (plus/minus button) before placing⦁
- Your bet enters the Unmatched tab until another user matches your odds
5. How Much Will I Win (Or Lose)?
- Potential profit is stake × (odds – 1).
- Liability (in lay bets) doesn’t apply here.
- Commission is charged on any net winnings at 5%
