2-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an excellent way to apply an additional layer of security to your Betmatch account. Let us guide you through the setup.
Step 1 – Enable BetMatch 2FA
Download and install a 3rd party authentication app of your choice on your mobile device. There are many 3rd party options available in the App Store or Play Store, such as Google Authenticator and Authy. This is required. BetMatch 2FA will not work without an authentication app.
Once the authenticator app is installed, follow the app’s instructions to get set up. When you are ready, proceed to the next step.
Step 2 – Linking your Betmatch account with the authenticator app
Login to your Betmatch account. Go to your account settings page, and look for “Two Factor Authentication”. Click the blue text that reads “Disabled”
If on a desktop or laptop computer, you should see a QR code that you can scan with your authenticator app. On mobile devices, there is a code you can copy to your authenticator app.
Step 3 – Your first One-time-password
Your authentication app will generate a one-time-password. You should enter it carefully into the one-time-password field on the Betmatch form. Once that’s done, simply click the “Enable 2FA” button to link your authentication app to Betmatch.
Congratulations! You have enabled Betmatch 2FA and secured your account.
With 2FA enabled, you will be required to enter your Betmatch password plus a one-time-password from your authenticator app each time you log in to Betmatch.
