Role Overview
As the Head of Risk & Trading, you will be responsible for our Sports and Games offerings. Your portfolio will be to manage our full MTS and other products, ensure we are competitive in the market and deliver a world-class product to our customers. You will be heading up the Risk portfolio and building out a best-in-class risk framework and operational procedures. You will participate in the overall strategy and direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct competitor research and maintain our edge over the market
- Recruit and manage a team of Trade & Risk Specialists through detailed policies & SOPs
- Develop a comprehensive trading/limit strategy and continuously adapt and improve it
- Monitor live action and timeously identify Pot VIPs, advantage, syndicate and fraudulent play
- Carry out detailed trading performance analysis at market level and manage optimization of price and position
- Monitor and assess bonus performance against targets and key ratios
- Monitor and report on VIP activity, build out VIP sports long term margin business cases
- Continually collaborate with the Trading Teams and vendors and escalate and resolve queries
- Provide insight and focus to the Marketing team through detailed reporting and collaboration
Requirements
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum 5 years experience in a related position
- Advanced knowledge in Sports Betting and Games
- Grade 12 / Matric or higher
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Discipline to work as part of a team with tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Risk Analysis experience at a Senior level
- Knowledge of the South African regulatory framework
- Prior Senior Management experience
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
